typescript transcript of interviews conducted by Sally Smith Hughes, 1979-1980, with her editorial marks. The transcript was
never fully reviewed by the interviewee. Tobias discusses his career as a biophysics professor at UC Berkeley and medical
physic researcher for Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. Tobias specialized in radiation biology and is considered the father of
heavy ion radiography as a cancer treatment.
